DISASTER CORPS is a non-profit corporation who's mission is to:

Provide physical, medical and economic necessities to victims of natural disasters

Provide assistance in preparation of disaster recovery paperwork both for individuals and small business

                              Target assistance to smaller areas not currently being served by

                              larger disaster relief agencies

                              To assist in designing plans of recovery in targeted areas

                              To provide commodities needed to maintain daily survival in

                              areas affected by natural disaster (example, food, clothing, ice,

                              water, shelter, toiletries, paper goods)

                              To aid in the rebuilding of lives in any disaster situation

                              To assist everyone in need regardless of race, religion or creed.

Disaster Corps fundamental concept was born after our directors were victims were the horrific flooding from Hurricane Floyd in 1999.  While we were in the nation's spotlight a few times we struggled for the daily needs to sustain life.  Never once during this ordeal did we meet anyone assisting that had been a survivor of a disaster, someone who knew how it was to deal with all the difficult decisons made daily by victims.  We know how it is to struggle daily for food, water, ice, clothing, shelter.  We know there are times you need nothing more than a friendly shoulder to cry on.  We know that it is difficult to go through the mounds of paperwork and understand what rebuilding your life entails.  We know the countless hours you spend on the telephone trying to find assistance, we know, we have been there, we want to be there for you. 

We will be there at the time the disaster strikes and will stay with you while you rebuild.  Our mission to be there, day in and day out, and pay forward the kindness of many strangers that help us during our bleakest hours.
